Our B&B is located in Vicenza suburbs, in a green area, easily reachable from the Vicenza Ovest higway exit.
In few minutes you can easily reach the most interesting places of the city.
At Nonna Amelia bed and breakfast in Vicenza we pay particular attention to our rooms, they are decorated to a high standard and completely renewed.
Each room has ensuite bathromm and is equipped with high speed Wi Fi internet access and self-controlled air conditioning.
Access to the B&B is completely independent so that guests are free to move. Internal private parking is available for the guests. The living room and the fully equipped kitchen are also available.

I was born in this place in the '70 when we children could play on the road, the Carpaneda street.
This place was the sunday biking destination for people living in Vicenza downtown; it was possible to breathe the fresh and calm atmosphere and to renew the eyes with the green fields view.
Entering Carpaneda seems that today nothing has changed. It's a kind of magic door (as we are used to call it) when, coming from downtown, you turn right from Statale 11 and suddenly land in a quiet place where, if you stop and leave your car, you feel to be entered in a completely different dimension. Traffic of some meters before seems thousand miles away.
The love of this place but also to share the most beautifull things we have and the passion for travels gave us the boost to start the adventure of the B&B. When we travel we are used to stay in similar small structures. The warm welcome of the owners, the connection with the place that suddenly born thanks to the direct contact with who live in and the advantage to "fill at home" (with the most precious and intimate meaning of this sentence) also when we are far, are characteristics that we cannot miss anymore. We love to meet people in the World, people like us or people different from us, to talk, to discuss. Travel can tear down the limits of the mind and when we cannot do it,
whe thought that it should be nice to stay on the other side: to guest the World at our home, a kind of "opposite travel".
This is the story of this B&B. All our passions have been joined here, in the house that nonna Amelia, uncle Margherita and uncle Luigino left us.
We dedicate all the beautiness we experienced in the past and will experience in the future at this place to their memory. Our aim is that our guests can enjoy this beautiness, with semplicity and warmness.

We are located 5 min. from the Vicenza Ovest higway exit. From there, go straight towards Vicenza along Viale degli Scaligeri, then go on following Verona direction. Before the next roundabout, take the narrow road on the right, strada della Carpaneda. After about 1.5 km turn right and find Nonna Amelia on your left after 300 m.

Our phylosophy
Don't be surprised if on the wash basin inside your bathroom you will find a "slice of soap"! We are deeply sure that it's the small little daily choices that help our World to remain alive and grant to people to leave in a free pollution place.
At our home and also in our guests room we use only organic soaps and products, made with natural components. We avoid the massive use of packing materials and we use the solar energy when available to heat our water. We are going to install also a solar electric system to improve our green attitude.
With the same attitude we care about the quality of the food we eat and offer to our guests. We buy organic, food miles and fairtrade products and we have a vegetable garden. For these reasons our guests' breakfast is made mainly by organic products, fairtrade and food miles when possible.
So, please, don't be surprised if you will see Priscilla during her "free scratching" or playng with our dogs Gaia and Birra!
